Initial Thoughts is a modern trivia game that emphasizes pop-culture knowledge, strategy, and skill. Unlike traditional trivia games, it uses broad “Thought” cards, allowing for a wide range of potential answers.

Players score points by using letters from “Initial” cards in their answers, with more initials earning more points.

Strategic elements include stealing Initial cards for exclusive use and utilizing 36 Bonus cards for various advantages. Bluffing is also key, as players can challenge opponents to prove their answers, adding a layer of tactical gameplay where even less knowledgeable players can excel with a good poker face.
